God Always has a Purpose

Two months ago I was able to take a trip to PA to visit friends. The weekend I went was chosen because it was the best weekend to see everyone, little did I know God has His own plans. It was a Thursday through Sunday trip. The evening of my arrival I found out that BBC had been hosting a sex trafficking seminar and Thursday night was to be the last night. During this particular seminar the students would be discussing ways to get involved and stop this crime. What a blessing it was to be a part of this meeting. First off I got to witness the Lord working in the hearts and lives of at least 20 to 30 students, wicked sweet. Plus I was able to contribute from what I learned during the SOAP outreach just a few weeks before. The meeting turned out to be a great chance to reconnect with some people and meet some new people. The last half of the seminar was spent in prayer over specific parts of this ministry. What a blessing it truly was to gather with people, my own age, who have a desire to bring God to this shady area of life. It was so awesome to be able to take a step back and witness God working. God is doing great things through the students of Baptist Bible College, PA. They are truly pushing towards great ministry leaders and I was blessed to be a part of that Thursday night. Friday I got the chance to met up with a guy who is interested in starting and participating in a strip club ministry (for those of you who are totally freaked out now and concerned about a strip club ministry check out The XXXChurch) Making that connection can only be a benefit and Lord willing an encouraging relationship of networking for the sake of the Gospel. On Saturday a small group of us went out to local hotels and restaurants passing out information on sex trafficking, signs to look for, and how to report it. I have no clue if anything came of that trip or if anything will but I pray that God will use what we did to further His kingdom, plant seeds. Overall God totally took over a weekend trip that I had planned to just hang out with friends and turned it into a ministry filled weekend, working and serving for His glory. I also came to really understand and see that this ministry has no purpose if the sole purpose isn't to present the Gospel.

Overall that weekend provided a lot of helpful information for me. I am now working on a different format to pass out information and Lord willing will include the presentation of the Gospel. I want so much to serve the Lord, and I sure have a lot of growing to do, but I am so thankful that the Lord has been patienct and continues to teach me. I love that God took a weekend of fun and made it 10x's betters by making Him the center of the weekend instead of my friends or fun. And to add to all of that I was able to serve along side my friends to the glory of God. I don't think God could have planned a better weekend trip than the one He blessed me with.

Please be in prayer over the hotels that we reached out to. Many of them were known for prostitution or some kind of illegal activity, some of the people we talked to even seemed scared. I want so much for those people to find the love of Christ and leave behind this world of sickness and hurt. Please pray, pray hard that more and more people would be sharing the Word of God with others. God has blessed us with the gift of sharing the gospel with others, lets try hard to accomplish the task before us.

PRAISE GOD FOR HIS GOODNESS!
